Farewell Flowers

I always feel immensely privileged when asked to create flowers for funerals: Flowers can bring comfort at the most difficult of times - they are often a final parting gift, a means of saying goodbye, and a visual opportunity to celebrate the life of a loved one,

Farewell flowers should be highly personal and meaningful, with a discreet attention to detail. I do not, therefore, have a catalogue of conventional funeral tributes. Instead, it starts with a conversation about the person, and the life they lived. From that, I build up a vision of the colours, textures, scents and shapes to use. Particularly meaningful flowers and foliages requested by the family are incorporated wherever possible - whether it is a favourite garden rose, or brambles from the hedgerow.

Working with the seasons, I use my own, locally-grown flowers and foliage wherever possible (April-October), supported by other British growers, and Dutch imports where necessary.

My style is naturalistic, loose and garden-inspired.

I generally provide flowers for funerals within the Newmarket-Ely-Cambridge triangle, but am always happy to take enquiries for funerals further afield.

I am proud to create eco-friendly farewell flowers: I do not use floral foam, and avoid the use of single-use plastic wherever possible. For eco-burials, I can create fully biodegradable floral designs. The most common designs I create are double-ended coffin sprays, wreaths and sheaf bouquets. All can be created along eco-principles.

Prices

Every arrangement I make is unique, and designed with care and attention.

However, below I have listed the most common types of arrangements that I make with a price guide. Flowers for your loved one should be personal, and special, so if there is something you would like me to create that isn’t listed, please get in touch to discuss possibilities.

Deliveries: I deliver to your chosen undertaker or to your home, within the Cambridge-Ely-Bury St Edmunds triangle.

"Just a short email to thank you on behalf of my sister and I for the beautiful flower arrangement for our Mother.
The colours and arrangement were perfect and so many people commented on them."

"Bekah, the wreath was absolutely fabulous, thank you.  My friend had no idea to expect it and loved it.  She’s taken it home so hopefully will get plenty of enjoyment from it.  I’ve suggested she keep it watered so whatever survives can eventually be planted out, but confess she probably has other priorities on her mind.  It definitely brought her great cheer on an otherwise sad occasion, which was my intention. So many thanks indeed."
